OUR DOMINANCE

It was all a dream...

St. Marcellinus was established in 2003 but it didn't take long before making its first mark.  Scroll down through our journey so far...

Cross Country

It took the Cross Country program a little bit longer than the Track & Field program to win its first championship.  It wasn't until 2009 did we see its first ROPSSAA win, but they've continued their success ever since...including an OFSAA Gold in 2014

Track & Field

The Track & Field program is no stranger when it comes to success.  Even with such a young history, the program has already achieved some pretty outstanding ROPSSAA accomplishments and records.  Here are a few highlights:

  • In 2004, when the school only had grade 9 students (about 180 in total) and in its very first ROPSSAA Track & Field appearance, St. Marcellinus captured the Midget Girl Championship

  • In 2005, when the school only had grade 9 & 10 students (about 400 in total) and in only its second ROPSSAA Track & Field appearance, St. Marcellinus captured the Overall Team Championship; an outstanding accomplishment

  • The Senior boys won the title 8 years in a row (2009-2016)

  • The Overall Girls have won the title 11 times in the past 15 years

  • The Overall Boys have won the title 17 years in a row (2005-present)

  • The Overall Team has won the title 16 times in the past 17 years, including 15 in a row, losing by only 1 point to Father Michael Goetz in 2006

  • 2011-THE SWEEP! Probably the most impressive accomplishment came in 2011 where St. Marcellinus became the 1st team EVER to win ALL 9 ROPSSAA Championships in 1 year (MG-Overall Team) Unbelievable!
